The Air Force approved the Dissuader if safety glasses were used –
Since the glasses effectively remove the ability to see the reflected beam circle, the Air Force also suggested that we provide a sight (we use a green dot sight) so that users could more easily target the birds they were working.

- A copy of the approval letter from same.
- A copy of the evaluation from the Air Force Research Lab at Brooks City AFB
- A copy of the Air Force Occupational Safety and Health Standard for lasers (dated December 1999)
- Air Force form 2760 for the base LSO (laser safety officer)
- An FAA advisory circular about outdoor laser use at airfields.
- A copy of the FAA form 7140 that will need to be filed annually by all CONUS bases.
